Peacock Joins Turkeys in Avon Neighborhood Roosts
A peacock in Avon Ohio has formed an unusual bond with nearby turkeys roosting in pines and on roofs. Police chased the rogue bird after a Sept. 5 call, with owner Resa Rak cited as the keeper. Neighbors report the birds frequent Detroit Road and Avon High School, while officials note no local ordinance ban and acknowledge occasional cross species flock behavior.

Odor as Key to Police Searches in Legal Pot Era
Courts in states with marijuana legalization increasingly limit searches based on vehicle odor alone. Some rulings hold that smell of cannabis no longer suffices for probable cause, especially when a medical marijuana card is presented. Courts weigh state law scope and overall evidence, with some still allowing odor as a factor in vehicle searches.
