Judge orders extradition in Kentucky man murder case

A Kentucky judge agreed to return Albert Fine to Lorain County to face charges that he strangled his girlfriend Catherine Hoholski and hid her body in a storage area at the Villas of Beau Monde apartment complex. Man finds success selling hops to Athens brewery

Jim Pechaitis, a Ford retiree from New Russia Township near Oberlin, grows about 700 hops plants sold to Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery in Athens for around five dollars a pound. He cites easy harvest and wildlife resistance as reasons the crop fits his lifestyle. The Athens brewery, noted for top world rankings by RateBeer.com, is linked to the county’s growing hop scene with Pechaitis’s son-in-law Bryan Burgess helping expand the yard where the hops were first planted.
