Galler 88 formerly of Avon Lake and Danville Ohio died September 6 2012 in Greensboro North Carolina after a brief illness He was a World War II medical corpsman taught English and served as Avon Lake High School Librarian from the 1960s to the 1970s He is survived by three sons and their spouses and several grandchildren A memorial service is planned October 27 2012 at Resthaven Memory Gardens Avon Donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Foundations.

Obituary: Michael “Red” Kotradi 96 of Louisville
Michael Red Kotradi 96 of Louisville died September 10 2012 after a Lorain Elyria life. He worked 36 years at U S Steel Lorain retiring 1974 and was a member of St Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church. He is survived by three children and several grandchildren with a memorial in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association. Public viewing September 14 2012 in Lorain followed by a Parastas Service and burial in Amherst Township.

Roger W Millott 72 of Polk formerly North Olmsted died Tuesday September 11 2012 at Akron General Hospital. He was born November 18 1939 in Cleveland son of Wilbur and Helen Millott. He retired from A P in Norwalk after 20 years then worked as head maintenance for the Agriculture Society in Ashland 15 years and farmed. Lorain County official Bart Hobart in hiring row
Bart Hobart was arrested after a family dispute during a 2010 call in which he allegedly grabbed the phone from Lisa Hobart. Hobart later pleaded no contest and was hired at Lorain County Jail on Aug. 27 earning 16.41 per hour after a background check. Stammitti described Hobart as highly qualified with 22 years of experience and recommendation by a psychiatrist, noting he never served as an inmate at the current jail.
