Washington report states the National Farm Loan Association and Land Bank Service officials said farmer members have invested about 75 percent of one half million dollars at the end of the past fiscal year. Thomas A Maxwell Jr., director, commented on the figures.
Milan Village Planning Commission issued a building permit to Mr and Mrs James Buehrle on Lockwood Road for a frame ranch style house. The panel also approved Walter Karnes to move a four room dwelling onto his Bond Street property.
Milan librarian Mrs. JH. C. Elgar announced a library branch will be installed in the high school. After contract approval, construction of quarters in the east corner of the study hall will start, with state library organizer Mrs. Faith Stoughton having approved the project.

Robinson, superintendent, issued a warning as two Kansas City firms contact Ohioans by mail. The Agriculture Department said farmland values were virtually unchanged in the four-month period ending July 1. Increases in valuation of cotton exports exceeded two percent in seven states, while wheat exports fell by 324 million bushels to 219 million. The report notes a 688 thousand bale rise in cotton exports for the year.
