May measure to abolish county school boards proposed

A bill introduced by Lorain county representative P H Rogers aims to eliminate county school boards and the teacher examining boards. If enacted, the measure would cut county board costs statewide and streamline teacher credentialing by allowing diplomas from accredited institutions to be presented to hiring boards. The bill reshapes county governance of schools and reduces administrative layers, with a special session possible to consider it.
