Family health premiums rise 4 percent in 2012
Annual premiums for job based family health insurance rose 4 percent to an average of $15,745 with employees paying over $4,300. The Kaiser Family Foundation and Health Research & Educational Trust say the rise is modest but payroll wages pale in comparison. Critics say cost controls under the Obama law are not yet fully felt while waste persists.
