De South on Queens boulevard a new low mood spectacle
New York daily notes a crude southern plantation style entertainment named De South on a Que ens boulevard near Forest Hills. Free admission, 50 cent dinner plate, tin beer cups, corral with a roaming old nag, four step stile, haystack orchestra pit with black musicians in overalls, a single guitar, pickaninny dressed waitresses, couples dance for a dollar, and a large free parking area. The venture costs under 1000 dollars but already draws crowds and Summung No poet in the world lives so luxuriously as D Agnunzio.
