Methods of Peace Urged to Replace War by World Church

The General Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Springfield Massachusetts issued a report calling for outlawing war and replacing it with peaceful means. It urges prayer for peace at communion, a youth education program, and an aggressive antiwar campaign led by Church and state, including US entry into the Permanent Court of International Justice and support for a League of Nations. The group proposes a Commission of Twenty-five to unite religious forces for a world war on peace. China monopolized paper making for centuries before Arabs improved the process using linen or cotton rags.
