Elyria Planning Commission to Study Allotments Rules
Elyria planners travel to Lorain on Thursday to study new allotments regulations as city weighs updating a 20 year old ordinance. Segoe and Associates designs, paid for and ready since 1949, would place planning commission in final say on plats with city council handling street and utility dedications. Lorain already uses similar subdivision rules granting the commission authority to approve allotments inside and near the city, with city engineering and council or county authorities handling dedications and final approvals.
