Local church groups hold meetings and social events
A busy slate of church and community activities is reported. The Methodist board calls a special meeting at eight o'clock, St Peters Evangelical and KRe farmed church groups plan gatherings at private homes, and the Junior Walther League features a play at Town Hall. Other events include the Eagles auxiliary party, Sorosis club at Mrs Pieter’s home, St Ann’s Society restarbed at the Tenner home, and Ever green Club gathering with a garden flower banquet. Crusader rally planned in Dover. Circle three of Peter’s Union hosted at Ed Mens home with devotions and an article on Christian growth. Past Matrons of the Eastern Stars meet at Mrs Mishka’s, plus varied hospital notes, briefs, and Altar Rosary activities at St Joseph Church.

Funeral rites held for late Mattie J. Sau dere years old
Largely attended funeral services were conducted Wednesday for the late Mattie J. Sau dere, aged ten years. The Rev BH of the Methodist church officiated. Two vocal duets were performed. Pallbearers included Hobart Pa, William Geide, Layis Good, Homer Quaittey, Am Terst. Burial followed at Crownhill family plot. Relatives from Cleveland, Sandusky, Elyria, Lorain, Vincent, and Henriet attended.
