Padres Lauer helps Summer Slugger math program for kids
Midview High graduate Eric Lauer and Ty France joined a San Diego Padres event promoting EverFi Summer Slugger. They handed out tickets, signed autographs and played a trivia game to make math and reading fun for about 100 local children at the Central Library. The program combines digital games with baseball themes to teach math, spelling and reading, targeting 8 to 11 year olds and aiming to reverse the summer slide.
