The U S Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia circuit says FERC must reexamine its rationale for approving the 256 mile NEXUS gas pipeline that crosses Oberlin and serves Ohio Michigan and Ontario. The court found FERC did not weigh public benefits against disadvantages nor justify interstate status. The ruling preserves, for now, the pipeline’s operation but may affect future projects.
