Brenda Buzard and Jeffrey Bommer exchanged wedding vows on August 23 at Avon United Methodist Church. The ceremony was led by Revs Arthur Egan and Bruce Irwin at 5 p.m. A reception followed at Tom's Country Place. The Golden Acres Home auxiliary hosts a noon to 5 p.m. Fall Festival at Route 58 and North Ridge Road Amherst next Sunday. Activities include tours by Lorain County Commissioner Alan J. Zaleski, entertainment from Lorain Slovenian Button Accordionist Association Band and others, sale items crafted by residents, food, pop, and a raffle. Local dignitaries and volunteers expanded the facility with a new wing, dining room, bathrooms, beauty parlor, craft room, lounge, and auditorium. Denver Keplinger is superintendent.
