BWU student teaches in Dominican Republic through Outreach 360
Gabriella Ott, a Baldwin Wallace University math senior, joined 10 other BW students on a two week teaching trip to Monte Cristi. The group taught English to disadvantaged children while observing stark resource gaps and a charged local election atmosphere. Ott recalled older students held back grades and notable contrasts in technology and supplies. The trip highlighted dedication amid challenging circumstances and racial profiling witnessed at a border market.
