Lorain County Health Dept Reports School Health Progress
Lorain County Health Department released a report on last year’s school health work. Out of 6202 examinations, 6506 defects were found and 1721 corrections were made. 1006 Blue Ribbons were awarded, over 36 percent of students earned them. Immunity rates: 83 percent smallpox, 76 percent diphtheria. Dr. H. R. O'Brien notes improving general health but rising nutrition issues.
