Two or three intruders killed DeChants in Avon
Avon police probe into the stabbing deaths of former Avon Councilman Leonard DeChant and his wife Arlene continued as their son Greg, 21, was wounded. Investigators say two to three men entered through an unlocked front door, ransacked a bedroom, then fled in the DeChants 1978 Chrysler. Greg was hospitalized in fair condition.

Mt Jack's in Elyria set to reopen Friday after a June fire caused about 105000 in damages. The 10000 square foot restaurant was remodeled with a larger dining room, new wallpaper mirrors and brass fixtures. General Manager Bradley King said the interior will model future Mountain Jack's upgrades across the nation. The Lake Lorain Boulevard site is one of five in the Cleveland area, part of a 90 unit Vicorp Specialty Restaurants chain.
