Copter Crash in Hollywood Cemetery Kills Two

A helicopter crash at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles killed worker Mike McKenna and pilot Walter Atherton as they attempted to paint a church steeple. Akron man first U S heart transplant patient sits up in bed

Cleveland Clinic reports Del lett Howard Lawson 31 of Akron awake and progressing after receiving the nation s first heart transplant from a 25 year old woman involved in a Labor Day crash. Kidney transplants to two recipients followed the operation and all were listed in satisfactory condition.

Henes resigns as college trustee after six-year tenure

Ernst L Henes, a Loram County Community College trustee since its founding, resigns from the nine member board creating two vacancies. The governor will appoint replacements. Henes, 68, of Wellington, will remain publisher and editor of the Wellington Enterprise but will give up other civic roles for health reasons. He has been vice chairman and chaired the Turn to page 4, col. 4.
