Mystery glove and mask claim Gabby Hartnett tied to decades old gear
Roger Negin reports on Bruce Bierbower who owns a 40 year old catcher's mitt and mask said to have been worn by Hall of Famer Gabby Hartnett during a barnstorming tour. Authentication is uncertain. Hall of Fame in Cooperstown cannot certify without proof. Bierbower, four when he received them in 1936, recalls little, hoping to find a rightful home or burial behind home plate at Wrigley Field if needed.
