Robbers Strike Gidding Company Safe in Cincinnati

Spikes removed from rail line risked president's train
67 spikes were pulled from an inside track on Alli son’s crossing near Athens Ohio four miles west of town. Miners Isaac Van Dyke and a companion found the spikes after they were hurled down a 40 foot embankment. Officials said inner track held by angle irons likely prevented a serious wreck as the president's special passed earlier. One train rider questioned in Chillicothe was released. Twenty six trains had since crossed the area.

Bank Robbery at Port William Bank Explodes
Two men and a woman accomplice staged a dramatic bank robbery at Port William Bank eight miles north of Wilmington Ohio. Three Men Held for Questioning in Lindbergh Case
In Southampton New York three Franklin New Jersey men Michael Raduno 38 Sante Ragno 28 and Josepe Ringo 48 were held for questioning after clipping described the kidnapping surfaced in their possession. Mrs Ellis Konkel reported her son was killed by a hit and run driver and the men tried to recruit her two daughters for a mysterious expedition to locate the killer. They claimed hypnosis would reveal the culprit.
