Bitter storms raged across the Rockies and Northern Plains with heavy rain and thunderstorms in Texas and Oklahoma. Snow fell in North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and lighter snow in Colorado Utah Nevada and Arizona and New Mexico. Winter storm warnings persisted in North Dakota while a South Dakota blizzard warning was downgraded. Damaging storms hit Oklahoma and northern Texas faced potential flooding as four days of heavy rain ended. Pacific Northwest logged snow and record October cold.
