Police raids seek Greene bombing clues

Federal agents and local police conducted six raids in northern Ohio and Erie Pennsylvania as part of the investigation into the October 6 bombing death of Cleveland rackets figure Daniel J. Greene. Raids targeted Dealers Outlet Inc in Cleveland and a wrecking service in Olmsted Township, with searches for records and materials connected to the bombing. no arrests were reported.

Bribery Indictments Name Milstein and HUD Official

A federal grand jury indicted Cleveland area developer Carl Milstein and HUD Cleveland director Charles P. Lucas on bribery charges. Milstein allegedly offered bribes on Oct 30 1972 in exchange for fraud opportunities, as Lucas was to permit, in return for money and mortgage relief. The probe links to late 1971 and early 1972 events and involves University Circle Property Development Inc and a 103000 sale to Marvin Reuben.

A Cleveland Trust teller handed over cash after a robber nicknamed Little Eddie claimed a gun in a note. He was too short to reach the bag, so a bystander passed it along. Turn back hands of time to standard time

Washington announces that Americans should set clocks back one hour tonight as daylight saving time ends at 2 am tomorrow. Most areas revert to standard time, with Arizona, parts of Indiana, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and American Samoa remaining on standard time. Hit-skip driver kills boy crossing road

Frederick Diedrick, 9, of Pittsfield Township, was struck by an eastbound car on Rt. 303 four miles west of LaGrange while crossing from a barn to his home and died at Elyria Memorial Hospital. The bronze 1960 or 1961 Chevrolet fled the scene. deputies issued an APB for the driver.
