Turning 29 Again I Recall My Mother and Farm Life
On turning 29 for the second time I feel homesick for my mother. I recall her as a practical farm wife who braided her hair, wore simple dresses, and kept our family fed and clothed. Our bond was emotional yet not that of close friends, and I wonder if we become more alike with time.

The Reagan administration calls the bill a budget buster and plans cost-cutting amendments, while Democrats and some farm-state Republicans push to keep a safety net for producers facing decades of low prices and hardship.

Lorain Medina Rural Electric Cooperative saved about 75000 dollars by using its own staff to rebuild the Repp substation north of Lodi rather than contracting.
