Atrazine exposure links to frog fungus threat, USF study

A University of South Florida study reports that early life exposure to atrazine increases frogs' susceptibility to the chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis. The fungus impairs skin and gas exchange, contributing to mass amphibian die-offs. atrazine use in the US reaches about 76.4 million pounds annually, largely on corn.
