Lorain County collected 1585.6 pounds of medications during National Drug Take-Back Day. Elyria led with 283 pounds, Amherst with 158, at 15 local sites from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Police also used 24-hour drop boxes as part of the program initiated in Lorain County nine years ago.
