Protest reaches new GOP heights on Colorado roof
A Colorado protest at the GOP headquarters drew more than 100 demonstrators who beat drums and chanted below while five environmental activists remained atop the one story building. Protesters chained themselves, firefighters cut the locks, and police removed them as a giant inflatable chain saw and elephant masks drew attention to opposition to federal land logging and grazing policies. Marty Walter called the action anarchic on public lands, while the GOP office manager noted it was a first for such tactics.
