Snowmobile death at surprise party in Wellington
Jeff Garn 42 co owner of North Coast Wireless Communications was killed at a backyard snowmobile ride near Meadow Lane Wellington after hitting a buried drainage pipe and being ejected. Police say he flew 10 feet 7 inches struck a tree then the machine flipped 58 feet. Coroner notes severe injuries while tests determine alcohol or drugs role. Fire crews Life Flight rushed to scene but could not save him.

Federal observers to monitor Lorain County polls
The Justice Department will send observers to Lorain County polling places to ensure equal access for Spanish speakers of Puerto Rican descent.
