Elyria Pioneer boys eye top ten at state cross country meet
Elyria High faces a tough path to the top ten as unranked in the state poll, the Pioneers must prove themselves at Scioto Downs in Columbus. Coach Jerry Chizmar notes the team’s late-season gains and aims to stay within themselves for a strong second half surge. Senior leaders Josh Young Greg Cosentino and teammates race with four seniors set for a final state appearance. The regional results spotlight strong teams like Davidson LaSalle St Mavier and Strongsville as favorites.
