Three Hallowe'en Vandalism Incidents Reported

Man seriously hurt by tractor accident
Andrew Schach, 58, of Bursley road R D Wellington, suffered a fractured pelvis and possible internal injuries after the tractor he started moved forward and ran over him in a field at 7 pm yesterday. He was taken to Elyna Memorial Hospital in fair condition today.

Mrs. Dorothy Wilson of 170 Bell Avenue learned her son Pfc. Edwin L. Hodgson 18 was slightly wounded in action in Korea and hospitalised in Tokyo. The telegram said he would receive the Purple Heart and a letter would follow. Hodgson attended Elyria High School and enlisted last February. He deployed with the 8th Cavalry Regiment on November 2. In Dayton, James Birt 24 Celina was captured after escaping from the Lima Hospital for the Criminally Insane with Steve Wodazaza.

Polio Victim Elyria Boy 13 Faces Illness
Robert Fritz 13 year old son of Mr and Mrs John Fritz of 277 W River street was taken to Cleveland City Hospital with polio yesterday. A seventh grade student at Holy Cross School he was active in scholastic sports and had been set to play with his grade school football team tonight at Ely Stadium. In summer he played baseball with United Polish Club Little League and was part of Detroit district and state all star squads.
