Lorain court alters exam grading while delaying chief appointment
Lorain Common Pleas Court judge Paul J. Mikus modified an order to allow grading of promotional exams for Lorain Fire Department assistant chief but kept the chief position appointment on hold. Acting Capt. Clarence Jenkins brought the action challenging two acting captains eligibility due to post-tenure timing. The acting captains are Anthony Volak named acting captain July 16, 1979 and Joseph Pribanic named acting captain June 2, 1980.
