Lorain officials seek a five year 6.49 mill operating levy to close a 1982 budget gap of about 4.7 million. Superintendent Pavic warns the district would face deeper cuts and debt if the levy fails. If approved, the levy would generate about 3.4 million with state aid covering the rest.
