Home For Night Given 3 Boys By Sheriff
Three ragged brothers aged 7 9 and 11 found asleep under an automobile were cared for by Sheriff Clarence Adams and his wife until juvenile authorities took charge. They left a place they said they were mistreated and had been staying seven miles away via their father who is in Washington. The mother deserted them five years ago. Frank Adams, 80, of Grafton, sustained multiple injuries and lacerations when his car struck the rear of a lumber truck at Stop 6 on Grafton road yesterday at about 8 30 P M. He was taken to Memorial hospital and listed in good condition today by deputy sheriffs who investigated the crash.

Fire destroys barn at Snyder property in Amherst
A noon blaze in Amherst consumed a barn and its contents on the Snyder Milan avenue property. Authorities believe the fire started in a straw stack at the rear of the barn. The fire department saved the house as wind favored that direction. Hay and straw valued at 400 dollars stored by Frank Mischka were also lost. A truck and machinery were saved from the barn.

Dedication last evening celebrated the Clearview Centralized School's latest addition of sixteen rooms for high school use. The building near Penfield Junction, built in 1921 with a 1927 five-room high school expansion, now features a large auditorium, cafeteria, gym, and integrated spaces for grades and high school. Enrollment reaches 585 with 268 in high school, and the new facilities include a 555-seat auditorium, an orchestra pit, adaptable gym auditorium, separate entrances for students, modern sewing and kitchen facilities, and a clock and gong system for schoolwide signaling.
