Elyria lineman Arthur Odell, 41, electrocuted on Dewey avenue while trimming trees with five companions. He slipped and touched a live 2200 volt wire. despite immediate resuscitation efforts, including pulmoter and fire department aid, he died after a relapse. Elyria Police Aid In Capturing Bank Yeggs Whose Hold Up Fails
Elyria police aided in pursuing a four man bank robbery gang that attempted a Lodi Medina county hold up. The bandits arrived in a high powered car three entered the Bedford bank and a fourth waited at the wheel. One demanded a $10 bill change and Cashier J H Fisher ducked into a closet as a revolver was leveled at bookkeeper Wilson Lehman. The robbers fled before taking any money and authorities pursued but made no arrest as the pursuit spread across the countryside.
