Three Die When Pickup Flips Near Elyria

William J. Weber found two Grafton Prison Farm escapees in his barn and, after a third attacked him with a hatchet, nabbed one at gunpoint while the others fled. He fired a empty .22 revolver during the pursuit and held Flores at bay until help arrived. Flores, 19, was later shown for trespass in Ottawa County. Weber was treated for cuts and released from Elyria Memorial Hospital. The incident ended with Weber's capture and a cautionary note about his weapon.
