British Viscount Collides With Italian Jet Over Anzio

A BEA Viscount with 31 aboard collided with an Italian Air Force F-S1 jet over the Anzio coast in fog. Both aircraft plunged into the sea with heavy loss of life. Italian pilot survived by parachute. The crash occurred near Nettuno and Anzio as the airliner descended toward Naples Capodichino.

TV Performer Held For Jury In Thefts

Tricky Harry a magician reidentified as Harry T. Albacker of Lorain and Jack Martin of Lorain were bound over in Lorain Municipal Court. Martin pled guilty to two counts including grand larceny and breaking and entering. bond set at 2500. Albacker denied one and admitted others to a 5000 bond. charged with breaking and entering the Lorain Arena and linked incidents in Vermilion and nearby sites. Police note multiple break ins including Beaver House Legion home and a timber yard with a Lorain Drive-In Theatre incident in October.
