Man killed crossing Rt. 58 in Lorain hit-and-run
A 34 year old man, David Wynn, was struck while crossing state Route 58 near the 4200 block in Lorain early Monday. The Ford Explorer left the scene but a license plate was recovered. police located the vehicle and questioned the driver. Coroner Paul Matus cited internal chest injuries as the cause of death.

Avon police arrest Dayton man in sting operation
A 22 year old Dayton man drove to Avon expecting to have sex with a 15 year old girl and was arrested. Cory R. Jackson faces felony counts of importuning attempted unlawful sexual contact with a minor and possession of criminal tools. He is held on a $30,000 bond and to be arraigned in Avon Lake Municipal Court. The case marks the 25th Internet predator arrest by Officer Larry Miller.
