Fields Methodist groundbreaking planned Oct. 29
Fields United Methodist Church announces groundbreaking for a new building addition on Sunday Oct. 29 at 9 30 am. The project includes a 350 seat sanctuary two offices a narthex and a five room classroom wing with a $362000 construction cost directed by Gene Resar Construction Co and financed by a Lorain County Bank mortgage loan. The 520 member congregation has met at 34077 Lorain Rd North Ridgeville for 10 years and plans to create dedicated classrooms for all ages while freeing the current sanctuary for social use. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

St John Lutheran mission festival with late morning talks
St John Lutheran Church hosts an old fashioned mission festival on Sunday starting at 8 15 a m with Rev Carl Barringer as first speaker. Barringer helped pioneer LCMS missions in Nigeria 1945 to 1957 and serves as executive secretary of Missions and Church Extension for the Indiana District. A second talk follows at 10 45 a m with Martin Zehnder, now with Lutheran Bible Translators and teaching at Luther Memorial School in Cleveland. A Lutheran Women Missionaries League dinner and a mission fair conclude the day, with five congregation members taking part in morning services and the Book of Worship adapted liturgy.

Vincent Methodist to Stage Multi Media Bible Show
Vincent United Methodist Church hosts a multi media Bible presentation on Tuesday at 7 30 p m at Vincent Elementary School. The event, by Wycliffe Bible Translators, uses six projectors three large synchronized screens and stereo sound to convey God s message across tribal languages. The group aims to translate the Bible into every native tongue and has deployed hundreds of youth volunteers to live with tribes until the Gospel is shared.

CYO to Sponsor Training Session for Faith Programs
