Lorain vice squad and state liquor inspectors cracked a major narcotic ring. Officers seized an estimated $5,000 worth of marijuana and two popular Mexican narcotics from two private dwellings. National Tube Company plant at Lorain will show a slight improvement next week with most operations at similar levels. Two blast furnaces and 19 open hearth furnaces remain in operation while the Bessemer converter runs double turn on Sunday Wednesday and Friday and single turns on the other days. The rail mill operates through the weekend to next Friday then follows a five day schedule. Number two and five ladle mills and number one and two seamless mills will run on varied days. Scrap mill one operates five days starting Monday and keeps number five operating the rest of the week.
