Millionaire Joel Wolfe Thorne piloted a Beechcraft Bonanza that crashed into an upper-floor apartment in North Hollywood after takeoff from Lockheed Terminal. An eight year old Elyria boy Arthur Richard Graber Jr died at Cleveland City Hospital from acute bulbar spinal poliomyelitis. He was a third grade pupil at Allen School and the fifth Elyria polio case this year and the county's 41st. He leaves his parents and grandparents. Funeral services were private at Brookdale Cemetery.
