Verdin portable foundry nears end of bicentennial bell tour
The Verdin Co in Cincinnati has nearly completed casting bells for all 88 Ohio counties as part of the state bicentennial celebration. A mobile furnace trailer cast Hamilton County’s 230-pound bell at Tall Stacks, with 2,200 degrees of heat and a 20,000 mile statewide tour since 2001. The crew expects Coshocton and Franklin counties to finish the project this month and Oct spread.

Junkyard Prostitution Ring Busted In Grove City Area
Columbus police charged Russell Coleman and Brenda Brush with promoting prostitution for allegedly running a prostitution ring from BC's Auto Salvage in suburban Grove City. At least five women worked there charging 150 dollars an hour, with 50 dollars to Coleman. The operation funneled calls to Coleman's home after the yard closed. Authorities had investigated since January and intensified in June amid neighbor complaints.
