I-X Center stay assured amid airport expansion talk
LX President Kevin Schefferstein said the I-X Center will remain in Brook Park at least until 2015. He stressed Cleveland’s interest in expansion but not demolition, noting the center generates at least $100 million annually from trade shows and related spending. A major upcoming event, the American Welding Society show in 2001, could attract 25 000 to 30 000 attendees and fill regional lodging.
