Natalie Cole Follows Own Path Beyond Fathers Shadow
Natal ie Cole, daughter of Nat King Cole, abandons a premed plan to pursue music instead. The 25 year old has released one album, is working on a second, and scored a hit with This Will Be. She aims to stay true to herself, seek a country home, and raise a family while pursuing music with her own name rather than as the daughter of a legend. She cites Aretha Franklin as an influence and emphasizes personal talent over legacy.
