STOCKHOLM AP The 1968 Nobel Prize for physiology and medicine was awarded to three Americans: Robert Holley of Cornell University Har Gobind Khorana of the University of Wisconsin and Marshall Warren Nirenberg of the National Heart Institute Bethesda Md They share $70000 prize for decoding the genetic code and its role in protein synthesis. Nirenberg 41 and a New Yorker helped pioneer the field, while Khorana born in Harpur India 1922 and Holley born in the same year in Urbana.

Water crisis averted as Avon Lake runs on Sheffield Lake supply
Avon Lake drew water from Sheffield Lake to cover a second break on a 20 inch line at Moore and Electric as Plum Construction worked to remove a block around a valve.
