Haumea Dwarf Planet Found With Ring Beyond Neptune
An international team using stellar occultation detected a ring about Haumea, a dwarf planet orbiting beyond Neptune. The ring lies roughly 600 miles from Haumea's surface and is darker than the dwarf planet by up to five times, suggesting more outer solar system ringed objects may exist.
