Wellington appoints Steve Dupee as village manager
The Wellington Village Council unanimously named Steve Dupee village manager. Dupee, with 24 years in utilities including 15 as Oberlin electric director, starts Dec. 5 at $107000 with a 5 percent raise after six months. He replaces Steve Pyles. interim manager Mark Rosemark has filled the role since July.

Lorain police confirm a 14 year old reported missing after not boarding a school bus near G Street Park has been located. The teen identifies as Samantha Jade Mitchell who also uses the name Samuel Mitchell per a police news release.

Avon Clinic opens new Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital next month
Ground broke in 2014 on a five story 212000 square foot 126 bed facility linked to a family health center. About 80 staff per day train as 580 total campus employees join an expansion creating 100 transferred workers and 480 new hires.
