Ex Elyrians' Son Killed In Two-Car Crash Near Bellevue
Jack E. Squires 17, son of Mr and Mrs Gerald Squires former Elyria residents, died in a two car collision at 7 20 a m at a county road intersection northwest of Bellevue. Jan Shaffer 21 Bellevue a former teacher and pilot was seriously injured. Squires had been living in Bellevue after his father transferred there by Ohio Edison. The crash occurred when Squires failed to stop at the intersection. Shaffer suffered a cerebral concussion and lacerations and was in Bellevue Hospital. Jack had worked on a farm northwest of Bellevue and was en route to school.
