Seeding Delayed by Wet Ground Across Northern Ohio
Wheat seeding in northern Ohio lagged due to wet ground while the south sowed generally. About half the winter wheat acreage is seeded and much remaining will follow the soybean harvest. Bean harvesting was widespread late last week when weather allowed, with about one third of the crop combined and dry weather needed to finish.
