President Nixon seeks members for the 15 member Pay Board and 7 member Price Commission as wage price controls near expiration. Labor leaders agreed to assist, while standby powers and a wage price case panel may be created under Phase 2 legislation.
Thomas D Dalton 31 of Pittsburgh a city planner with the Office of Economic Opportunity is named Oberlin city manager. He was notified by telephone yesterday by council after a four month search to replace Edward C Smith who resigned in May. Dalton is a Cortland New York native and has served in the Army Peace Corps and in Washington DC before moving to Pittsburgh. He and his wife Judy Kuta have two children.
Police report a $250 ventriloquist dummy named Gospel Pete and two suitcases stolen from the car of Rev Lawrence J. MacAllen, an evangelist with the Church of the Nazarene. Magician supplies valued at $150 found later in Luxor Apartments lobby. no sign of the dummy.
