Vet's Pearl Harbor hero to be flown home for final rites
The remains of Navy sailor Rudolph Piskuran from Elyria will be escorted home Thursday after dying in the December 7 1941 Pearl Harbor attack. Piskuran among 429 sailors killed when the USS Oklahoma was torpedoed. 2403 total deaths included 68 civilians. Remains will arrive at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport from Honolulu.
