Car train crash claims Lorain girl life

An 18 year old Lorain girl, Rina Wooten of 465 Colorado Ave, died when the car she rode in struck a freight train at Norfolk and Western tracks near G Street. The driver Cecil Kessler 19 and passenger Twila Howell 16 were injured and hospitalized.

Elyria schools forum series seeks voter info on levy and bond

The Citizens Committee for Elyria Schools will host public forums starting Thursday at 8 p.m. to explain the renewal of a 4.7 mill operating levy and a 7.2 million building bond.
