Mormon leader cites Africa’s peace with past priesthood ban
Kenya’s Joseph Sitati, a member of the Quorum of the Seventy, says Africans in Africa accept the church’s former lay priesthood ban as history. He notes Africa’s membership grew to about 449,000 in 2014 from 7,600 in 1978, while panels at the University of Utah discuss race and diversity in Mormon leadership.
